Chateau Desmirail Margaux 2015 - From the Margaux appellation in Bourdeaux, France, this dark, bold red wine is a beautiful expression of region and soil. Offering fine aromas of red fruits, and a perfumed nose of rose petals, the palate is very well balanced, structured with fine grain tannin and a long, subtle oak finish. Succulent dark cherry, plum, licorice, cedar and tobacco come alive embracing the more feminine earth components that offer a natural middle sweetness, full bodied roundedness and depth to the Chateau Desmirail Margaux 2015. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot and it's aged in 40% new, French oak barrels for between 12 to 18 months. Recommended bottle age is 7-9 years.
Food Pairing - Pair with red meats, game, full flavored chicken dishes, hard cheeses, any type of classic meat dish, such as veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised and grilled dishes, great with Asian dishes, hearty fish courses like tuna, mushrooms and pasta as well as cheese.
