Hail pummeled the valley vineyard in June of 2020. The canopy leaves were stripped from splintered shoots, but the fruit was left intact under the protective hail netting. The vines grew a new canopy, just in time to shade their ripening clusters through the hottest summer days. In late August, the fruit was hand picked & sorted just before the rains came. This wine was aged in a French oak barrel for 25 months. With aromas of black fruit, Havana leaf, & dried herbal notes, an unfolding midpalate emphasizes the elegant & refined tannins. A gentle note of vanilla accompanies a smooth, satisfying finish.
The turtle is a sacred symbol to Native American Indians. In many creation stories the turtle supports the land and life. Having carried the soil upon its back, the Great Turtle grew to become the whole of North America, which was named Turtle Island.
This vintage of Rosé is crafted with wild yeast fermentation & daily lees stirring that gives way to a polished wine full of texture. Expressing fresh stomas of strawberry & rhubarb, with a satisfying mouthfeel, and a flint minerality on the palate.

Grown from the silts and sediments on the banks of Turtle Creek, this vintage of our Montepulciano was carefully nurtured through drought, high winds, and sweltering heat, then hand-harvested in the cool of night. This is a taste of what the Texas Hill Country has to offer.
Enduring a winter of snow, ice, freezing rain, wind, hail, and single digit temperatures, these young vines grew forth with vigor under the spring sun. The year brought abundance of all kinds - chiefly, the precious rain. The vines thrived. Fruit & shoots were thinned by the vineyard shears. Canopies were hedged by the workman's machete - and still the vines flourished and filled the harvest bins to the top. Aged in French oak barrels for 15 months, this wine exhibits aromas of red berry and smoky caramel. It is medium bodied, with a subtle complexity of earthy tannins on the palate, and a smooth finish.
A hint of things to come from Turtle Creek Vineyard. “When your harvest is light, yet your heart full, may your friends’ & neighbors’ yields be bountiful.” Aged in stainless steel tanks, this Texas Trebbiano showcases aromas of lemon zest and tropical fruit notes. It is medium bodied with a crisp refreshing acidity on the palate and a smooth finish.
