Le Fervent Syrah 2014 - Almost black with reddish hues, this Syrah's nose is both complex and intense of black plum, china ink, blood orange and hints of pencil lead. With very fresh and vibrant flavors of blueberry, boysenberry liquor and garrigue, and underlining hints of toast and cocoa, the refined tannins give this wine nice acidity and a long, silky finish. The blend is 91% Syrah, 6% Grenache, 2% Mourvèdre, and 3% Viognier, which is co-fermented with Syrah. Exhibiting the freshness, elegance and mineraility that are often characteristic of Syrahs from the Northern Rhône, Le Fervent Syrah 2014, is aged for 12 months in concrete vats and oak barrels.
Food Pairing - Beef, Lamb, Game (deer, venison).
About - The term “fervent” is defined as “having intensity of spirit, feeling and enthusiasm,” which describes the winemaker, Michel Gassier’s, passion for Syrah.
